CloudZero Insights provides visibility into potential savings and cost avoidance opportunities by analyzing billing and usage data. Insights can be manually created or generated by the CloudZero Platform​ (CloudZero documentation)​.

Automated Insights

• Anomalies - See Anomalies within the Notifications section below
• Cloud Provider Insights - AWS Trusted Advisor, GCP Recommender, Azure Advisor - CloudZero will aggregate the Cloud Provider’s “cost insights” from their various advisor products. Currently only AWS is supported but GCP and Azure are in development. For a full list of the various checks, please refer to the AWS, GCP and/or Azure documentation pages.

• CloudZero Heuristic Insights - CloudZero is connected to hundreds of organizations. We use the knowledge of what we “typically see” across our customer base to identify areas where you’re spending above the baselined threshold and where there might be optimization opportunities. You can see CloudZero’s documentation for a full list of heuristic checks.

Manual Insights

Manual insights offer you the opportunity to identify spend trends or optimization projects ongoing at your organization. Examples include:

• A positive or negative spend trend that you don’t understand and need to follow-up on
• An optimization opportunity identified within the architecture that might be ongoing or queued up for future work
• An infrastructure migration
